Back in Summit County

Ahhh, what a vacation! We really relished the time skiing and also the kid-less vacation. Not worrying about traveling with "special Aaron food", bedtimes, fits, etc really makes a vacation a vacation! I hadn't gone skiing since I was early pregnant with Aaron and it showed on day one! I was pretty nervous, but Mike pushed me on and we did great. After having just seen Celine the week before, I was skiing down my first run singing to Mike "It's all coming back to me now!" like a good Celine fan.

Mike and I mastered the greens in no time and then tried our hand at the blues. They were pretty fun. I think my favorite run had to be Anticipation or Dercums Dash. I also just had to ski the Flying Dutchman for my heritage sake! The slopes were so empty it was awesome. I guess previously I've skied over spring break times or Christmas so this was a whole different experience. I think my last run on day one I did with no one around me- and I even thought- what if I fall and get hurt and no one knows I'm here! Didn't happen but it did cross my mind.
