The zoo

We visited the zoo while with my parents and it was the perfect day. The weather was warm, but not too warm. Since we don't have a zoo withing a 3 hour radius where we live, we were very excited. When we walked in the gate, I opened up the map to ask Aaron what animals he wanted to see first- and just like Aaron, he spotted the train on the map and said "Ride the choo choo train momma!" He did enjoy the animals alot that day, but the highlight was definitely riding the train 4 times!! Gramma and I enjoyed the 2 week old baby giraffe and the crazy gorilla. He was sitting right by the window when we approached. He was relaxed and hanging out, so I tried to get him to come closer. He kind of blew me off with a hand wave and a "chhhh" sound which was pretty funny. We walk to the lemurs, check back with the gorilla and he is now right in front of the window with his booty straight at ya!! Talk about putting on a show. He then roamed around right there doing different antics of booty placement and other agility tests. Too funny!

They also had a statue of a gorilla that I thought Aaron would have a great time sitting on. Nope, our usually fearless guy is afraid of giant animal statues! I tried to show him that the animal wasn't real, but I don't think he was buying it. I hopped on instead thinking it would be a good picture to send Mike while he was away!
