We had a great long weekend! Mike had 4 days off which we made total use of. We headed a few hours away and camped out. The weather was perfect and the campground was very nice. It's always a gamble when you just pick a place, but the sites were very large, and full of trees. The bathrooms were a bit farther away from our site than I like, which made for some long treks in the middle of the night! The rain held off until we literally were pulling out of the park and they opened up and poured. Guess God was watching out for us!
Aaron's favorite part of the trip was roasting marshmallows and eating smores! At first I thought it was just the roasting part, but he wanted nothing to do with roasting his hot dog one night- just the marshmallows! He even asked for a "double smore" which is two marshmallows on one. Guess he's just like his momma. This was the first time we've brought some carob chips to add to his smore and he LOVED it!

Then of course, what camping trip is complete without some hikes? We hit the top of the mountain which had some great views of the countryside all around. After the hiking Aaron was pretty tired and kept telling us his feet hurt. He had no trouble falling asleep at night! We also hit the Zoo, but I haven't gotten to those pictures yet.
