Getting ready for Santa

Santa became so real this Christmas to Aaron. He was very excited about seeing him and started asking all the typical Santa questions. He even stated to us the night before he would come "If Santa comes down the chimney and we have a fire in the fireplace, I think he will notice!" Hee hee, we agreed totally.

We had made reindeer food at our Breakfast with Santa at church so we sprinkled that on the front lawn for the reindeer to see our house by and then of course get a bite to eat while they waited on Santa to make his deliveries.

Then we iced 3 cookies- a number determined by Aaron and delivered those along with delicious rice milk to the fireplace. Didn't you know Santa has a dairy allergy as well?

Aaron usually doesn't have any issues with bedtime, but on Christmas Eve he started talking about getting into bed on the way home from church. I think he was anxious to get asleep so Santa would come. He did have one caveat to the situation- he wanted to be sure that Santa wouldn't come in his room to look at him. Apparently he still is quite shy with him and wanted to feel safe. After we assured him that Santa would stay in the living room he went right to bed. He even chose Gramma to put him to sleep. Gramma read "The Night Before Christmas" and sang a few carols as she tucked him into bed.
