Lit up for Christmas

We finally are completely decorated around here! We had the interior of the house done the weekend after Thanksgiving, but it took a little nudging to get my husband up on the ladder in the freezing cold! But he did it, and I love him for it. Never growing up were outside lights an option. I loved looking at all the houses lit up with beautiful lights (and inside wishing they were mine!)- and to this day touring around neighborhoods looking at lights is still a great pastime in December. So when I married Mike and he always had lights outside I was in heaven- and still am! I think barring our 3 years in England, I've always had outside lights- yahoo!!

It's super fun now that we have this cool ladder that can contort to all sorts of shapes and designs which makes hanging lights so much easier. (Never thought I'd love a ladder, but I have to say I'm sold on this particular one- gotta be a homeowner right?) This year I even added lights on the garland around the porch. My mom donated her old garland to us last year and it makes our house look so festive, but the lights are even better this year! Even the mailbox is garlanded (is that a word?) up!

Can you tell I love Christmas decorations? My two nativity sets at home are my favorites- both are lit up every night. But outside lights really get me too. Hope you are enjoying the festiveness of the occasion!
